This 2001 US Legends Thunder Roadster is a spec-series race car that was acquired by the builder in 2009 and has been re-bodied to resemble a 1950s sports racer. Dubbed the “Crawdini” by the seller, this vehicle received a rebuild in 2013 which included stripping the car to its bare tube chassis and overhauling the front-mounted Yamaha 1250cc inline-four and 5-speed sequential gearbox. The Etceterini-style body from fiberglass with a foam core. It features a set of simulated headlamps, a faux fuel filler, custom badges, and a pair of period-style rearview mirrors. Normal wear from track use is visible in the red finish, along with areas of bubbling. This is amazing and fun car to drive, it gets attention everywhere it goes for it’s classic exotic race car lines and at the track people gather to hear it scream. I’ve run everything from Miatas to Ferrari Challenge cars. This car has been the most fun and is super cheap to run. I have been told that it can be raced in a number of series from historics to time attack. Bottom line is Divorce is a BITCH but hey that’s life, don’t want to sell but will have a lifestyle change for a while so it makes sense to let someone else enjoy this amazing car. Good luck finding a car that is nearly as fun and exciting for under $30k.
